Starting point
Revenue between major campaign sends depended on a promotional calendar: there were no automated journeys meeting visitors and customers at the stage they were actually at.
List growth could not come at the expense of page speed, subscriber quality or inbox placement. A faster-growing list that landed in spam would have been a loss.
What we did
- Introduced high-converting sign-up forms, lead magnets and on-site capture built to protect page speed rather than tax it.
- Built the automated flow stack of welcome, browse abandonment, cart recovery and re-engagement, so revenue arrived between campaigns rather than only on send days.
- Tested forms, subject lines and calls to action continuously, and monitored deliverability as send volume grew.
- Fed acquisition, engagement and revenue signals back into the next round of tests, so each month's results set the next month's experiments.
Results
- Email-driven revenue up 34%, with more than 82,000 new subscribers acquired.
- Average open rate of 58.9%, with deliverability held at 97.9% across all sends while volume scaled.
- In March 2026, campaigns averaged a 65.6% open rate and a 1.83% click rate with 100% delivery; the best campaign of the month opened at 66.4% and returned £943 on 4,960 recipients.
What moved
What this study does not show
- Engagement is high and attributed campaign revenue is modest: the March 2026 report shows six tracked conversions and £1,474 of campaign revenue across sends of roughly 5,000 recipients. The +34% headline is for email-driven revenue over the engagement, which the brief does not date, and the flows' revenue is not broken out from the campaigns'.
- Open rates measured since Apple's Mail Privacy Protection overstate human opens, so the click rate is the more reliable of the two engagement figures.
- The client is not named.
Evidence
Every figure on this page is transcribed from the engagement brief, which is linked below. Where the brief includes a platform screenshot, the section above says what it shows and for which period; where it does not, the study says so. The client is not named, so the figures cannot be checked against a public property.
