Starting point
Website conversion stood at 3.1%. Feature-led messaging gave a visitor no clear reason to activate, and a large free-user base put pressure on monetisation that more acquisition volume could not relieve.
Campaigns had to grow across more than 20 markets with different languages, use cases and levels of product awareness, while blended acquisition cost stayed under control.
What we did
- Rebuilt acquisition funnels and landing pages around user intent and in-app use cases rather than feature lists, so each visitor saw the job the product does for them.
- Ran onboarding experiments to bring free users to first value sooner, and paid-plan experiments to make the upgrade easier to understand, without touching acquisition volume.
- Localised messaging and campaign execution across more than 20 markets, then evaluated every market on the same four measures: activation, free-to-paid conversion, website conversion and blended CAC.
- Connected product-led growth, paid acquisition and conversion work into one experimentation model rather than optimising any single surface in isolation.
Results
- User acquisition up 72% while blended CAC fell 27%.
- Website conversion rate up from 3.1% to 5.4%, a 74% lift against baseline.
- Product activation rate up 29% and free-to-paid conversion up 24%, so the extra demand became stronger activation and monetisation rather than a larger free tier.
- More than 20 markets localised and optimised on the same measures.
What moved
What this study does not show
- The brief gives no dated window and no platform evidence: its figures are growth against a baseline it quantifies only for website conversion, and they cannot be checked here against a report.
- The client is not named and the markets are not listed, so the result cannot be tied to a public property.
Evidence
Every figure on this page is transcribed from the engagement brief, which is linked below. Where the brief includes a platform screenshot, the section above says what it shows and for which period; where it does not, the study says so. The client is not named, so the figures cannot be checked against a public property.
